Despite calls to see David de Gea made the national team's first choice shot stopper, the Barcelona attacker insists Casillas is the superior keeper
The Real Madrid shot stopper has come under a lot of criticism over the last year for his performances for club and country with many insisting David de Gea should be made first choice keeper for La Roja.
De Gea is also heavily linked to a move to Madrid, which would likely see Casillas leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, or at least become second choice.
However, Pedro insists the 34-year-old is the best the country has.
"Iker is a great goalkeeper and for us is the best," he said. "There is nothing more to say."
Gerard Pique was the subject of boos from the fans after Spain's 1-0 Euro 2016 qualification win over Belarus, but Pedro insists no players have a problem with the defender.
"The squad is a large group and we all get along very well."
He was also full of praise for Vicente del Bosque, who coached his 100th game in charge of Spain on Sunday.
"The coach has done great things with us and I am sure that we will achieve a lot more with him."
