Roberto Firmino signs for Liverpool from Hoffenheim, subject to medical
Liverpool have announced the signing of Hoffenheim's Roberto Firmino, subject to the forward completing a medical.
Firmino, 23, has agreed a long-term contract with Liverpool and will undergo a medical after his involvement with Brazil at the Copa America.
It is reported the Brazil international will arrive at Anfield for a fee of £29 million, which would make him the club's second-highest record signing to Andy Carroll, who joined the Reds from Newcastle in 2011 for £35m.
Firmino made 33 Bundesliga appearances for Hoffenheim last season, scoring seven goals and recording 10 assists.
Liverpool said of Firmino on their official website: "The forward made 151 appearances in league and cup for the German club, netting 47 goals, after joining them from Figueirense in December 2010."
He has made nine appearances for Brazil, scoring four times including the winner in his nation's 2-1 win over Venezuela at the weekend.
Liverpool have already recruited Ings, Manchester City midfielder James Milner, Charlton defender Joe Gomez and Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan as well as giving a new long-term contract to Wales under-21 goalkeeper Danny Ward.
