According to reports from Ok Dairio, Chelsea have offered star midfielder Cesc Fabregas to Real Madrid.
The Spain international seemingly fell afoul of Jose Mourinho last season but has been a key figure in the Blues’ starting Xi since signing from Barcelona in summer 2014, registering 94 appearances across all competitions and scoring eleven goals.
However, Ok Diario claim the 28-year-old has grown unhappy in west London and Chelsea have resultantly approached Real Madrid about a potential summer transfer – which would undoubtedly not have sat well with Cesc’s former Barca team-mates.
But it appears Los Blancos aren’t interested in signing the 28-year-old playmaker, despite them reportedly considering bids for him in 2006 and 2009, and have rejected Chelsea’s offer.
The unexpected news coincides with reports claiming manager Antonio Conte will look to overhaul Chelsea’s engine room options during the summer transfer window, with Roma’s box-to-box midfielder Radja Nainggolan mooted as the west London club’s top target by The Telegraph.
