Chelsea have reportedly agreed on a £29million transfer fee with Leicester City for the signing of N’Golo Kante.
The Blues have long been linked with a move for the France international, who was one of the stars of the last Premier League season. Kante arrived in England as a relative unknown, but his immense midfield displays helped the Foxes earn a shock title win in 2015/16.
According to Le Parisien, Chelsea have come closer to finally landing the 25-year-old by offering £29m to Leicester.
Recent reports suggested Kante himself would favour a move to Stamford Bridge over other offers, with Paris Saint-Germain also thought to be admirers of his.
Chelsea seem ready to make a number of changes in midfield this summer, with players like Rajda Nainggolan and Andre Gomes also linked whileCesc Fabregas emerges as a target for Manchester United.
